There may be a variety of reasons that this sort of error presents itself, with some variation of the message ‘trade is disabled’. It may vary based on the trading platform you are using- MT4 or MT5.
It is likely this error is caused by one of 2 scenarios:
Trading has been disabled for that particular account
In this case there are a couple of things you can do to fix the problem:
- Make sure you have made a minimum deposit into the real account before you try to open a trade. If you haven’t made a deposit, your trading terminal will display the Trade is disabled error message.
- Make sure you have completed your profile verification. This is an important step, as unverified accounts will be disabled and the trading terminal will display an error message in the Order window.
Trading has been disabled for a particular instrument
Certain instruments are sometimes temporarily or permanently disabled. If you you try to trade them during this time, you will see an error message in the Order window:
- MT4 displays the error: “Trade: No”
- MT5 displays the error: “Trade: Disabled”
