What happens?
When you are unable to trade on MetaTrader platforms, with these scenarios:
- On MT4 : The New Order button will be active, but a " Trading is Disabled " error will appear in the Journal tab of the trading terminal.
- On MT5 : The New Order button will be grayed out and inactive.
Why did this happen?
- Trading operations are disabled for the particular account.
- Logged in to MetaTrader with a read-only password.
- Wrong suffix on the instrument.
- An instrument is in a close-only mode on the MT4 app.
- The account has not performed a first-time deposit.
- Trading is disabled for a particular instrument.
How to solve this?
-
Log into the trading terminal with your trading account password
- If you have logged in with a read-only password, log out, then log back in with your trading account password and try to trade again. If you do not remember your account password, you can also reset it from your Personal Area (PA) .
-
Ensure your Exness account is fully verified and that you have completed the first-time deposit
- Check if your Exness account has been fully verified and that you have not exceeded the 30-day limit. If you are fully verified , complete the minimum first-time deposit for your account to remove the trading limitation and try again.
-
Check the instrument suffix
- Check if you are trading with the right suffix for your trading account type. For example, Standard Cent accounts can only trade with instruments with the —c suffix.
-
The trading instrument is disabled
- Trading instruments can temporarily or permanently become disabled. If you try to trade with these while they are disabled, you will see an error message in the Order window; MT4 displays the error: “Trade: No ”, while MT5 displays the error: “ Trade: Disabled ”
- To confirm that the specific instrument has been disabled, check the instrument availability . You can also try trading with a different instrument to confirm that this is the reason for the error.
