In this article we will guide you through managing the following Personal Area settings:
Please note that it is not possible to change the following:
- Account Type: This cannot be changed once the trading account is opened, but you can open a new trading account in your Personal Area and choose a different account type for it.
- Account Currency: You can open a new trading account in your Personal Area and set that to a different account currency however.
- Account Email: You need to register an entirely new account for a new Personal Area set to a different email address.
- Support PIN: The first time you contact support, you will be assigned a Support PIN to serve as your identity verification.
Now, log in to your Personal Area and we can get started.
Personal Area password
This is your Exness account’s main password, used when you log into your Personal Area.
- Choose Settings in the Personal Area.
- Open the Security settings tab.
- Click Change next to the Password entry.
- Enter the email address registered to your Personal Area, then click Continue.
- Depending on your security type, you will be sent a code to enter at this next step; click Confirm once done.
Your new Personal Area Password is now set.
Personal information
- Choose Settings in the Personal Area.
- From here you can review your registered information; this cannot be changed here however.
If you would like to change any personal information, please contact the Support team for assistance; have your Support PIN handy to speed up the process.
Your registered phone number can also be found in Settings under the Security settings tab; for security reasons only the last 4 digits are shown. We recommend following the link if you would like a detailed look at how to change your registered phone number.
Security type
Please note that if you choose high security (mobile phone), you cannot change this to low security (email) after 30 days have passed from registration.
Which security type you currently have active can be seen within the Settings area under the Security settings tab.
If you have low security, you can change to high security by following these steps:
- Choose Settings in the Personal Area.
- Open the Security settings tab.
- Click Change next to the Security type entry.
- Click + New phone number and your phone number; then click Send me a code.
- Enter the code sent to that phone number, then click Confirm.
Your security type will now be changed to the high security (mobile phone) type.
