So you just finished signing up to Exness; what’s next? Don’t worry, we have put together a simple guide exactly for this.
Steps to take after registration:
- Verify your phone number
- Create a Demo/Real account
- Download a platform
- Complete identity and address verification
Verify your phone number
Upon your first login to the Personal Area, you may be prompted to enter your phone number and verify it. This step is essential for your account’s security, with many account actions requiring verification with a phone number, which is considered a high security type.
Note: You cannot input a country code at this point as it is automatically set based on the country of residence selected at registration; this makes selecting the correct country during registration very important.
You can always manage your phone number later, even adding more.
Create a Demo/Real account
Your new Personal Area comes with a Real and Demo account already created by default, but we recommend getting familiar with the process of making new trading accounts.
The ‘My Accounts’ tab has an icon called Open extra account which when clicked displays all the trading account types available for you to create (both MT4 and MT5, Demo/Real).
Download a platform
To trade with a trading account, you will need to use a trading terminal.

Complete identity and address verification
We place a lot of importance on having your Personal Area fully verified, as there are limitations placed on accounts that are not fully verified.
You can see the payment methods available to your region in your Personal Area Deposit tab. Click on the payment methods to see the respective verification requirements for each one of them. We encourage you to complete your full verification in order to enable all payment methods.
Verification includes submission of identity documents (POI), proof of residence documents (POR), and completing an Economic Profile, a small questionnaire about your trading experience.
