While trading on the go, adding your preferred instruments to the Quotes section in your mobile trading apps makes it easier to trade. In this article, let us look at how to add or remove symbols.

iOS

For MT4:

To add a symbol to the Quotes tab:

1. Tap + in the top right corner of the screen.
2. Select a group of symbols.
3. Tap the green + to add instrument(s).
4. When you’ve added the instruments you want to see in the Quotes tab, tap Done.

To delete a symbol from the main window of the Quotes tab:

1. Tap the edit icon in the top left corner of the screen.
2. Select the symbol to be deleted.
3. Tap the red basket icon in the top right corner of the screen.
4. Once you’ve deleted the instrument(s), tap the Edit icon.

For MT5:

To add a symbol to the Quotes tab:

1. Tap the search bar.
2. Select a group of symbols.
3. Tap the green + to add instrument(s).
4. When you’ve added the instruments you want to see in the Quotes tab, go back.

To delete a symbol from the main window of the Quotes tab:

1. Tap the edit (pencil) icon in the top left corner of the screen.
2. Select the symbol to be deleted.
3. Tap the red basket icon in the top right corner of the screen.
4. Once you’ve deleted the instrument(s), tap the Edit icon.

Android

For MT4:

To add a symbol to the Quotes tab:

1. Tap + in the top-right corner of the screen.
2. Select a group of symbols.
3. Tap the instrument(s) you want to add.
4. When you’ve added the instruments you want to see in the Quotes tab, tap the Back button.

To delete a symbol from the main window of the Quotes tab:

1. Tap the edit icon in the top right corner of your screen.
2. Tap the bin icon in the top right corner of the screen.
3. Select the symbol to be deleted.
4. Tap the bin icon in the top right corner of the screen again.
5. Once you’ve deleted the instrument(s), tap the Back button.

For MT5:

To add a symbol to the Quotes tab:

1. Click on Quotes.
2. Click on the + icon, which opens a list of all the instruments not currently in your Quotes window.
3. You can search for or tap on the symbols you want to add. They will then be automatically added to the list when tapped.

To delete a symbol from the main window of the Quotes tab:

1. Click the pencil and then the bin icon.
2. You can then select all the instruments using the two tick icon, or select individual instruments to remove. You can also reorder the instruments here by dragging and dropping them.
