The client is responsible for ensuring access to the necessary hardware and software required to operate a VPS account. Double-check that your internet connection and device on which the VPS is to be used does not limit or interfere with your ability to trade.
Exness shall not be liable for losses which may occur as a result of an inability to access the VPS account. If there is difficulty, it is the responsibility of the user to communicate with the Support team in a timely manner so that queries or issues can be resolved.
Exness VPS may not be used in any manner that constitutes an unacceptable use, including but not limited to, use that may be unlawful, illegal, or inappropriate.
Please note that Support cannot respond instantly to issues arising from the use of the VPS, so do allow a reasonable amount of time to address a query or issue. Do know that your satisfaction is our highest priority but the nature of timezones, connectivity and so on can challenge or limit our ability to respond instantly.
How many VPS accounts can a client request for?
Each client is eligible for one VPS per Personal Area (PA). The account used to apply for VPS is called a monitoring account and the VPS requirements need to be met and maintained for this particular account in order to keep the VPS active. You can read in detail about how to apply for VPS here.
That being said, you can trade on any of your accounts on the trading platforms available on your VPS.
Changing the monitoring account
Since it is necessary for you to make sure all VPS requirements are met on the monitoring account, it is important that it is an account that you continuously use. Thus, if you wish to change the monitoring account to any other account, you can do so by contacting our Support Team with the account number and other relevant details.
Note: The new monitoring account should belong to the same PA.
How many trading platforms can I have on my VPS?
Every VPS container comes with 3 MT4 platforms and 2 MT5 platforms pre-installed. 1 Multiterminal is available for installation upon request.
Since VPS is strictly for trading purposes, no browsers can be installed on your VPS desktop.
Can I change my VPS timezone?
You can change the timezone on your VPS by following the below steps:
Start > Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Date and Time > Change time zone
When does restarting VPS help?
Restarting VPS can help in the following cases:
- VPS is slow
- EA has been installed correctly but isn’t working
- Any other VPS issues.
To restart your VPS:
- Click on Start.
- Click on the arrow button next to Log off.
- Hit Restart.
Will my VPS be suspended if I only have pending orders?
Having pending orders alone is not considered as active trading. In order for your VPS to remain active, you should be actively trading on your account. If there is no trading activity in a total of 16 consecutive days (on the VPS monitoring account), the VPS account will be suspended.
