Before a trader can withdraw the profit made, a trader must first fully withdraw funds deposited into a trading account - this is referred to as a refund request.
Refunds made must follow the payment system priority to optimize transaction times:
- Bank card refund
- Profit withdrawals, adhering to deposit and withdrawal ratios.
Partial refund requests are when refund requests are made in smaller amounts rather than the total amount of funds deposited.
Note: Refund and profit withdrawal with a bank card will take 7 - 10 business working days to process.
Here’s an example:
If you have deposited funds into a trading account with a total of USD 100, you are able to make multiple refund requests that add up to that amount; USD 50, USD 13, USD 27, and USD 10.
Another example:
If you deposited funds totaling USD 300 via bank card and suffered a loss of USD 100, you then only have USD 200 in your trading account.
You are still able to make a partial refund request of USD 200 to your bank card, based on the amount you initially deposited.
If you make another deposit of USD 100 via Skrill, and make a profit of USD 50. Based on the payment system priority rules, you would still have to refund USD 100 to your bank card, before making a profit withdrawal of USD 50 to Skrill.
How to make a partial refund request
Making a partial refund request is similar to making a refund request in general. The only difference is entering a smaller refund amount.
- Select Bank Card from the Withdrawal section of your PA.
- Click Show my refunds from the next page.
- Choose the bank card to complete the refund.
- On the next page, fill in the form, including:
-
- Selecting the bank card as the payment method.
- Choose the trading account to refund from.
- Enter the amount to be refunded.
- If the amount to be refunded is less than USD 1, simply click on the blue text below to trigger the required refund amount.
Then click Continue.
- A transaction summary will be presented; click Confirm to continue.
- Enter the verification code sent to you either by email or SMS (depending on your Personal Area security type), then click Confirm.
- A message will confirm the refund request is complete.
After a partial refund request, you may see multiple refund transactions in your transaction history. This happens when the refund request exceeds any single amount deposited if those deposits were made over several transactions. The total amount required to be refunded before profit withdrawals will remain unchanged when this happens.
Note: Only after 90 days have passed (from the time of last deposit using your bank card), you will be able to skip the refund process and directly withdraw back onto your bank card.
