Once you know how to trade with Exness Trade, you may wonder what other useful features are offered by the trading platform. In this article, we explore the trading features of the Exness Trade app.
Some functionalities for MT4 accounts may be unavailable, such as live rates, daily price changes, charts and price alerts; we recommend creating or restoring an MT5 account to access these trading features. To trade with MT4 accounts from Exness Trade, you will need to download the MT4 mobile application.

Accounts
+When you log into Exness Trade, the Accounts tab is shown by default. This is where you find all trading accounts associated with your Personal Area (PA). A mini account card will also be consistently shown on all tabs for quick access to account operations such as deposit, withdrawal, account funds, account settings, and to switch accounts.
The interface may appear different for iOS and Android versions of Exness Trade.
To switch between trading accounts, tap the > button to open the account selector, then choose an account under Real or Demo.
Archived accounts are shown in the same account selector under Archived accounts. If an archived account was previously set as your main account, it may remain visible as Inactive with a Restore button option. To create a new trading account, tap +.
Tapping Details brings up the trading account’s information, split up into two tabs, Funds and Settings.
Under Funds, the table below gives a description of each datapoint to expect:

You can find each trading account’s deposit, withdrawal, and transfer actions for the selected trading account, as well as view the trading account's transaction history. Simply tap on the icon to initiate the action.
Under Settings, you can see the trading account's type, trading account number, nickname, spread, leverage, and login credentials for MT5 and/or MT4. The options to change the trading password and view the trading log are also provided here.
Order tabs
Three tabs in the Accounts area help you track Open, Pending, and Closed orders for the selected trading account.
The order history tracks orders for the past 30 days by default. Tap the Show previous day (iOS) or Show more (Android) button, which loads further order history in batches until the account creation date is reached.
Older order history is stored locally and automatically displays after opening unless Exness Trade is reinstalled.
Order history can be sorted by open time, profit/loss, trading instrument, or volume by tapping the sort icon.
Closed tab information
When an order is closed for any reason, it is listed in the Closed tab. Tapping an entry expands the following information:

Trade
+The Trade tab features the full list of available trading instruments, the trading terminal, and charts. This is the main area to open orders with Exness Trade; simply tap any trading instrument to bring up its chart.
Landscape mode
You can place orders using the Exness Trade app in landscape mode. To do this, enable the screen orientation in your device settings, allowing for horizontal or vertical orientation. Trading is available in regular mode, risk calculator, and one-click trading mode.
For regular and risk calculator mode, tap the Buy or Sell buttons to open the order form then tap Confirm to create an order.
To activate one-click mode, select the one-click then click Accept. To open a trade, click the Buy or Sell buttons. You can change the number of lots using the Lots field.
Market watch
The list of trading instruments is known as the market watch, which displays these instruments in categories such as Favorites, Most Traded, Top Movers, Majors, Metals, Crypto, Energies, Stocks, Indices, Exotics, and Minors. To see the complete list of instruments offered for trading in Exness, open the All category.
- Favorites is a customizable watchlist of your preferred trading instruments. To add a favorite, swipe left and tap the star icon. Instruments can be removed the same way.
- Most Traded lists instruments based on the current number of orders.
- Top Movers category features instruments with the most significant price change.
Sorting instruments
Apart from Most Traded and Top Movers, you can sort the instruments by hitting the Sort by button and selecting from the following:
- Popularity: Instruments that are most often traded.
- Name: Instruments sorted from A-Z.
- Daily change: Instruments with the highest and lowest percentage (%) of change since the orders were opened.
The Most Traded and Top Movers categories are automatically sorted, while the Favorites category can only be sorted manually.
The number of open orders for a trading instrument, as well as the total profit or loss for every open order, is shown in the listed item. Swipe left on any open trading instrument and tap Close all if you wish to close every order of that trading instrument.
Searching instruments
You can find specific trading instruments by tapping the magnifying glass icon and entering the trading instrument’s code.
Instrument charts
When you tap on any trading instrument in the market watch list, you open a trading chart for that instrument. Only one chart will be displayed at a time. You need to minimize the active chart and select another trading instrument to switch charts. You can also use the chart’s dropdown menu to change the active chart.
If you have open or pending orders for the instrument, it will be indicated above the chart as well as on the chart. Click on the respective Open and Pending buttons to show the list of orders. To close all orders, click on the red X icon.
The top of the chart presents these tools, selected by tapping on their icon:
- Alerts: The clock icon starts the setup of a new alert for this instrument (tap New alert to set its parameters).
- Calculator: Tap the calculator icon to calculate an order's trading conditions.
- Fullscreen: The fullscreen icon extends the chart's display.
- Settings: The gear icon opens the chart settings, which include information to show on the chart (trading signals, HMR periods, price alerts, position profit/loss) and preferences such as selecting the trading platform chart type, chart colours, and trade mode for the respective instrument.
The chart has three tabs:
- Chart: The trading terminal has many rich features, as explained below.
- Analytics: A detailed breakdown of the performance of a trading instrument over set time periods, including its trading signals, upcoming events, and the latest economic news.
- Specifications: A list of the trading specifications for the instrument, including its market hours and much more.
How to set an alert for a trading instrument
To set a custom push notification for your device, tap the clock icon in the chart window or the top-right corner of the Trade tab. Tap + Add new alert to customize this alert (if opened from the Trade tab, a trading instrument must be selected) so that a specific bid or ask price activates a push notification. Once you’ve set up the details, tap Confirm.
You can view current price alerts in the Active tab and executed and expired price alerts under History. If a price alert is deleted manually, it will not appear in the History tab.
Traders should actively monitor the market through the trading platforms and applications for their trading activities and should not rely solely on this feature. Exness shall not be held responsible for any losses arising from the failure or unavailability of this feature.
Trading chart features and tools
The Exness trading chart is the default trading terminal shown whenever a trading instrument’s chart is opened. It features tools to select the chart type (line, bars, candle), as well as setting a timeframe and several indicators:
- Moving Average (MA): A statistic that captures the average change in price over time.
- Bollinger Bands: Technical analysis defined by a set of trendlines.
- Parabolic SAR: Determines trend direction and potential reversals in prices.
- Timeframe: Displays Weekly and Monthly candles on the chart.
- Android: 1 min, 5 mins, 15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour, 4 hours, 1 day
- iOS: 1 min, 5 mins, 15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour, 4 hours, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month
Tap the indicators icon, select the option, and set parameters to add an indicator. To remove, select the indicator, tap Clear, or tap the indicators icon, then Clear all. To hide, tap the Hide all. You can access more indicators by setting the active chart to a TradingView chart.
Tapping the settings icon, you can also toggle to view trading signals, HMR periods, price alerts, position profit/loss, show or hide positions, pending orders, and closed orders on the chart. Under chart preferences, you can set the default trading terminal (Exness or TradingView), and chart colours, and the default open order mode (regular, one-click, or risk calculator).
About the TradingView chart
The TradingView chart is an alternative chart available in Exness Trade. TradingView charts give you access to chart functionalities such as:
- 100+ Indicators
- Drawing tools
- Color settings
- Volume-Weighted Average Price
- Volume-Weighted Moving Average
- Zig Zag
- Custom intervals for chart timeframe
Note: For iOS users, the TradingView chart functionality is only available for iOS 16 and above.
To activate TradingView:
- Tap the gear icon on a chart and head to Chart preferences.
- Tap on Chart and select TradingView.
Only one trading terminal can be set at a time.
To find TradingView chart settings:
Within the chart, tap on the gear icon above the yellow auto button.
For more chart settings, tap More settings.
To save a chart layout for an instrument in the TradingView chart:
- Click on the Save button.
- Set the name of the layout and click on Save. The saved layout will be shown at the top of the chart.
To access the list of all layouts:
- Click on Layout.
- Click Load layout.
- Select a layout and close the menu. You can copy or delete the layout if you choose.
Chart synchronization
Chart layouts saved on the Exness Trade app can be reused in the WebTerminal, allowing you to access the same TradingView chart setup. Here's how:
- Saved a chart layout for an instrument in the Exness Trade app.
- Open the saved layout in WebTerminal for the same instrument.
Changes made to a layout in the Exness Trade App are not synced automatically to WebTerminal. You must manually reopen the saved layout in WebTerminal to view updates.
The risk calculator order form can be used to help you determine your trading order when opening a new order. The calculator specifies the potential position size based on two parameters:
- Risk: The amount of funds a trader is willing to trade either in USD or % of equity.
- Stop loss: in pips or price.
The calculator uses the current opening price, which can also be set manually to calculate the volume of pending orders. If an incorrect risk value, stop loss, or volume is set, it will be shown in red.
To copy the calculated volume to a new order, tap Set Volume and Stop Loss, if not, simply tap Cancel.
Insights
+The Insights tab contains all the information you need, from financial news to market trends.
Top movers
Top Movers is the first section of the Markets tab. It displays the top 10 trading instruments, defined as those with the most significant price changes. Tap Show more to view other instruments in different categories and time periods.
Trading Signals
Find valuable trading signals from Trading Central here, which give insights into expected market trends. Each article presents an overview of a trading instrument and its trend. Tap on a card to view the full report; you can also open an order for this instrument here.
For trading signals of your favorite instruments, tap Show more to bring up the list of reports based on your preferred instruments.
Upcoming events (Economic Calendar)
Major upcoming financial events that could impact specific instruments are kept up to date here by FXStreet News. The volatility of each event is also indicated by yellow and red bars. Three red bars would indicate high-level importance. To view the entire Economic Calendar by FXStreet News, tap Show more.
You have the option to filter these entries by country and volatility by tapping on the filter buttons provided.
Top news
This area shares current international financial news right to Exness Trade. To view an article, tap on a news headline to read the entire article. You can hit Sell or Buy for some articles to open an order of related trading instruments.
When tapping Show more, financial news regarding your favorite instruments is displayed in a separate tab.
Expert content
You can find daily commentaries to quarterly insights documents from our expert financial strategists. Simply tap on an entry to view the document.
Performance
+The Performance tab provides a comprehensive overview of the trading performance for trading accounts, either individually or collectively. Your dividends earned are also shown in this area.
The Performance also includes trading statistics only for real trading accounts.
The Performance tab features interactive charts that detail your trading performance for the following criteria:
- Profit/Loss: Your trading account's total profit/loss for all closed orders.
- Equity: Your account balance is added to floating profit/loss for all open orders, calculated: Equity = Balance +/- Floating Profit/Loss + Swaps
- Total orders: The number of filled or closed orders within a selected period. This section shows the number of total orders, the change in the number of total orders in percentage, the number of profitable orders, and the number of unprofitable orders.
- Trading volume: The total value of all filled or closed orders in a selected time period.
All numbers for profit/loss, equity, and trading volume are calculated in USD; total order is the exception. Further, all numbers are presented in bar charts, except for equity, which is in a line chart.
By default, the Performance tab shows the data for all real trading accounts over the last seven days. You can filter for a single or all real trading accounts over different periods (week, month, quarter, and year).

Profile (settings)
+The Profile tab presents information and settings related to the Exness Trade and your Exness account in general. Many important preferences and functions are present here, so it’s highly recommended that you become familiar with this tab.
Settings
Exness Trade settings can be accessed by tapping the gear icon in the Profile tab's top-right corner. Let’s break down the many options available in this area:

Preferences
Notifications: manage push notifications based on several customizable events.
Language: set the language Exness Trade will use.
Appearance: set the app theme to light, dark, or to be dependent on your device settings.

Security
Device & account security: to change the security type for your Exness account, only valid options are presented. New phone numbers can be added here as a new security type.
Change passcode: this 6-digit passcode is required whenever logging into and unlocking Exness Trade.
Skip PIN: to set a passcode request for a specified period of time from 10 minutes to 12 hours. Setting to Always ask will prompt you to enter your passcode whenever you return from background or when you relaunch the app.
Sign-in with biometrics: change whether or not Exness Trade requires your biometric signature to unlock.
Hide balances with a flip gesture: this setting instantly hides sensitive information by flipping your device (turning the device screen down) and back up again. Repeat the gesture to undo the setting. To enable this feature, select the toggle under the settings menu.
Secure my account: to log out of all devices except for your current device.
Delete account: This will provide information about how to delete your Exness account.
To change any setting above, simply tap the setting and follow the on-screen instructions.
Verification status
Your Exness account verification status is displayed in the Profile area. To complete the verification process, simply tap on Complete verification to continue to verify your Exness account.
Benefits
Your Exness trading condition benefits, such as Swap-Free, Negative Balance Protection, and more, are listed here. It will also be displayed here if you are part of the Exness Premier Program.
Referral program
This box details your partner reward earnings and the total referrals credited to your Partner link. When you tap on this box, more options appear, including:
- Share the link: Provides a copyable partner link to share.
- Withdrawal: Provides options to withdraw your partner rewards.
- Transfer: Provides options to transfer your partner rewards to your trading accounts.
- Go to Partner Personal Area: Redirects you to your Partner’s Personal Area.

Copy Trading
This section provides direct access to our Copy Trading platform from the Exness Trade. You can create a strategy as a professional trader or invest in a strategy as an investor.
Tapping on For investors will redirect you to the Copy Trading app installed on your mobile device.

Other functions available to you in the Profile tab are support functions:

- LiveChat connects you to an Exness Assistant for assistance.
- Suggest a feature that lets you suggest an idea to Exness.
