Types of indicators
Expand any of these to learn more about the indicator:
Bollinger Bands feature three lines: a middle moving average and two surrounding lines that expand as the market becomes volatile, indicating potential market turns. While they can't predict turns, they help analyze past movements. They are often used with other indicators for better analysis.
MA, a widely used market indicator, calculates the average closing price over a set time by dividing the total by the number of periods (MA = Σ(close, N)/N). Various MA types, like Smoothed Moving Average, modify this approach for diverse objectives.
The Parabolic SAR indicator displays dots above (bearish) or below (bullish) price bars to signal movement direction. It is used to gauge trading instruments' trends and assist with stop loss and take profit settings, but it may falter in volatile markets.
The trading signals indicator simplifies by showing the daily trend for a trading instrument. "Intraday" pertains to daily sentiment during trading hours. When the indicator is on, click the info icon for details.
