MetaTrader 5 (MT5) is a powerful, multi-asset trading platform. This article demonstrates how to use MT5 on your mobile device (both Android and iOS).
Starting 01 July 2025, only the following platform versions will be supported:
• MetaTrader 4 — Build 1440 (released 21 February 2025)
• MetaTrader 5 — Build 4755 (released 13 December 2024)
Older versions will no longer be able to connect to our servers. Please update your platform to avoid login issues.
Before downloading the MT5 app, locate your trading account login and server details in your Personal Area (PA) using the linked article.
Logging in

- Download the MT5 app from the App Store, Google Play, or the APK version.
- Open MT5 and select Manage Accounts for Android or New Account for iOS from the main menu.
- For Android: Tap the + icon and select Login to an existing account.
- Enter "Exness Technologies Ltd" (if using Android) and "Exness" (if using iOS), and select the trading server appropriate for your trading account.
- Enter your trading account number and trading account password, then tap Sign In.
- The trading account is added to the Accounts tab.
For HarmonyOS devices:
- Download the DroiTong application from the Huawei App Gallery.
- Download the APK for MT5 from our website.
- Open the File Manager on your device and select the APK for MT5 to start installation with DroiTong.
- Once installed, the MT5 app will be available inside the DroiTong widget on your device.
- Open MT5 and select Manage Accounts from the main menu.
- Tap the + icon and select Login to an existing account.
- Enter "Exness Technologies Ltd" and select the trading server appropriate for your trading account.
- Enter your trading account number and trading account password, then tap Sign In.
- The trading account is added to the Accounts tab.
For clients registered with Exness (KE) Limited, enter Exness (KE) Limited as the server name.
If using the MT5 default accounts created during registration, the password will be the same as the PA password.
Switching accounts

If using Android:
- Select Manage Accounts from the main menu.
- Tap the trading account you wish to make active in the Accounts tab, enter the trading account’s credentials if prompted, and then Sign In.
- MT5 will now be logged in with that trading account.
If using iOS:
- Open MT5 and go to Settings.
- Tap the arrow next to the account to display all the accounts logged in on the app.
- Tap on any account to log in.
- MT5 will now be logged in with that trading account.
Adding instruments

To add (using Android):
- Go to Quotes.
- Tap the + icon, and then locate the instrument from the groups presented.
- Tap on any instruments you want to add, and they will be added to the list presented in Quotes.
To add (using iOS):
- Go to Quotes.
- Tap on the search bar to open the list of all the groups of instruments available for trading.
- Tap the + icon beside the instrument you want to add and it will be added to your Quotes list.
Removing and reordering instruments

To remove (using Android):
- Tap the bin icon to activate the delete function.
- Select the instruments using the two-tick icon, or tap on individual instruments to select them.
- Tap the bin icon one more time to confirm the removal.
To remove (using iOS):
- Tap the pencil icon and select the instruments to remove.
- Tap the bin icon.
To reorder:
- For Android, tap the pencil icon to open the edit function where you can move instruments to reorder them.
- For iOS, tap the icon on the right of the instrument and drag as desired.
Opening an order

To place an order:
- Go to Quotes.
- Tap the symbol you want to trade and then tap New Order (if using Android) and Trade (if using iOS).
- Set your order parameters (i.e. Stop Loss, Take Profit, etc.).
- Tap Buy or Sell to open a Market order.
To set up pending orders:
- Locate the New Order (for Android) or Trade (for iOS) option.
- Tap on the execution type displayed and select a pending order.
- Set up the following parameters:
- Order Volume
- Price for the pending order (you will need to set up an additional price for buy stop limit and sell stop limit)
- Stop loss (optional)
- Take profit (optional)
- Expiration
*Expiry dates that fall during a weekend will see the order expire at market close at the end of the current week (excluding cryptocurrency instruments).
Please follow stop levels when setting pending orders (including SL and TP).
Closing and modifying an order

- Go to the Trade tab and tap the open position.
- To modify, tap Modify position and then Done once you have amended the desired fields.
- To close, tap Close position and verify the action.
