Once you’ve created a trading account under your Personal Area (PA), you can manage your trading account(s) according to your preferences such as creating a nickname for a specific trading account or setting a custom leverage.
Note: For Pro accounts, market execution will be available only in these account currencies USD, JPY, THB, CNY, IDR, VND.
In this article, we will guide you through managing the following trading account settings:
- Statements
- Leverage
- Nickname
- Read-only access
- Trading password
- Unchangeable
Statements
You can easily manage your statements using settings in your Personal Area (PA). Here’s how:
- In your Personal Area (PA), click on My accounts.
- Click the 3-dot icon on the trading account you intend to manage.
- Select Manage your statements.
- Select the accounts, for which you would like to receive the trading statements and click Save.
Leverage
Exness offers leverage settings between 1:2 to unlimited leverage for all trading account types. The maximum leverage available depends on your trading account’s current leverage requirements determined by its current equity. However, you can choose to set your own desired leverage for that trading account.
Important: For clients registered with our Kenyan entity, the maximum available leverage is 1:400.
How to check your leverage setting on your trading account:
- Log in to your Personal Area (PA).
- Click the 3-dot icon beside your chosen trading account, and then select Account information.
- Your leverage setting will be displayed within the popup as Actual leverage.
How to change leverage on your trading account:
- Log in to your Personal Area (PA).
- Click the 3-dot icon next to your chosen trading account, and select Change max leverage.
- The dropdown will allow you to set your leverage from 1:2 to 1:Unlimited.
- You may also set custom leverage by selecting Custom. Enter the preferred value.
- Confirm your selection with Set maximum leverage.
Note: If you choose a leverage setting that cannot be applied to your account type, it will revert to the last leverage setting that was allowed, or to a default 1:200 in some cases.
Nickname
If you would like to give your account a nickname, follow these steps:
- Choose My accounts in your Personal Area (PA).
- Click on the 3-dot icon on any of your trading accounts to bring up its settings.
- Select Add nickname or Rename account and a pop-up window will appear.
- Name your account and click Rename Account to confirm.
Your trading account will now display a nickname.
Read-Only Access (formerly known as investor password)
Setting a read-only password will allow you to share trading account access with a 3rd party that can see trading activity on that trading account while restricting trade altogether.
- Choose My accounts in your Personal Area (PA).
- Click the 3-dot icon on any of your trading accounts to bring up its settings.
- Select Set read-only access and a pop-up window will appear.
- Create a password and click Set Read-Only Password to confirm.
- A 6-digit code will be sent to your security type; enter this code now and click Confirm.
- Your server, account number, and the newly set read-only password will be displayed with the option to copy for easy sharing.
Trading Password
Your trading password is used to log into a trading terminal with that trading account, and it can be changed by following these steps:
- Choose My Accounts in your Personal Area (PA).
- Click the 3-dot icon on any of your trading accounts to bring up its settings.
- Select Change trading password and a pop-up window will appear.
- Create a password and click Change Password to confirm.
- Now a 6-digit code will be sent to your security type; enter this code now and click Confirm.
Your trading account’s password is now set.
Password requirements
All passwords must include:
- 8 to 15 characters
- At least 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase character
- At least 1 digit
- At least 1 special (supported) character.
- The supported symbols are: # [] () @ $ & * ! ? | , . / \ ^ + - _ (spaces are not allowed)
Example: eH#z4@H9!
We strongly suggest you set up strong passwords to secure your Exness account and trading accounts. Support will never ask to provide any password, and only your Support PIN is used for verification of account ownership.
Note: Passwords once set are not sent to your email for security reasons; do make note of them in a secure place once you have set them up.

Unchangeable
Listed here is the information that is not possible to change or change via your Personal Area (PA).
Specific to the PA:
- Personal Area email: You will need to register an entirely new account to set up a different account email.
- Personal information: Contact Support to request possible changes to your personal information. We recommend having your Support PIN ready to ensure a smooth process.
Specific to a trading account:
- Trading account type: This cannot be changed once registered, but you can open a new trading account in your current PA and choose a different account type.
- Trading account currency: This cannot be changed, but you can open a new trading account, and set that to a different account currency.
- Trading account server: Servers are automatically assigned to a trading account when it is created and cannot be changed.
