The Exness Trade app comes complete with a bespoke trading terminal for MT5 trading accounts. This trading terminal allows both real and demo trading account creation and management without the need to download a separate trading platform.
For MT4 accounts, your trades will be redirected to the MT4 application installed on your mobile phone.
In this article, we will cover the most important functions of the trading terminal, as well as its other useful features:
- How to open an order
- How to close an order
- How to modify an order
- How to delete a pending order
- Trade tab features
How to open an order

Requotes
When opening/closing a market order on a trading instrument with instant execution (Pro accounts only), the system will display a requote with the new set of available prices if the requested price is not available.
- When opening a trade, requotes will show a new price to be confirmed.
- When closing a trade, requotes show a new price and the projected profit or loss.
Note: If a pending order is canceled, either due to insufficient margin or low leverage, you will immediately receive a canceled order push notification.
For example: Unable to execute pending BUY order #232323 for 0.2 lot(s) of XAU/USD.

Trade tab features
The Trade tab is where all the built-in trading terminal’s most useful features are housed.
Trading account box
The top of the Trade tab displays the active trading account. You can change the active trading account by tapping on the box. Tapping the information icon will bring up the active trading account’s details if it is MT5-based.
- Your trading account details include the account number, account type, account balance, and trading platform (MT4 or MT5).
Trading instruments
The trade tab displays all available trading instruments, nearly sorted into categories. You can add and remove trading instruments to your Favorites tab by swiping left and tapping the star icon.
The number of orders you have open will be displayed beneath the appropriate trading instrument. You can close all active orders for a trading instrument by swiping left on it and tapping Close/Close all.
Sorting instruments
You can change the order of trading instruments shown in most categories by tapping the sort by feature at the top of the list, with options such as popularity, ticker change, and daily change available.
- Popularity: trading instruments that are most often traded.
- Ticker: trading instrument name in ascending or descending order.
- Daily change: trading instruments with the highest and lowest percentage (%) of change since the opening above.
The favorites tab can be sorted manually by tapping the edit icon above the list and dragging the trading instruments up or down in the order you wish. When you tap the x icon to close these options, the trading instrument list will change to reflect your desired order.
Tip: Tapping on the search icon will let you locate a specific trading instrument by entering its code; you can swipe left on any results and add it to your favorites too.
Charts
Tapping on any trading instrument will expand its chart. Only one chart can be displayed at a time, so in order to switch to a different chart you will need to minimize the active chart before choosing a different trading instrument. You can also use the chart’s dropdown menu to change the active chart (shown below).
Each chart presents some functions:
- Click the chart icon below the Chart tab to change the chart type. iOS users can access line and candle charts while Android users can use line, candle and bar charts.
- The indicators menu presents some pre-installed indicators (Trading Signals, Moving Average, Bolinger bands, and Parabolic SAR). Once an indicator is selected and set, you can toggle it on and off by tapping on the eye icon that appears.
-
- To edit an indicator, tap on the individual indicator to modify its settings.
- To clear an indicator, tap on the individual indicator window and tap X.
-
- Market trends and insights can be opened up from the indicators menu by selecting Trading Signals. Tap on the information icon that appears to read about that trading instrument’s current trends.
- Timeframes icon provides access to switching between the various available timeframes with a single tap.
- The icons shown at top of the chart represent quick access to the following functions:
-
- Order history
- Alerts
- Investment calculator
-
The chart window also has two other tabs:
Overview: This tab houses the trading signals and trends for the active trading instrument. Scrolling down will show upcoming events from the economic calendar which affect the active trading instrument.
Specification: This tab displays the contract specifications of the active trading instrument.
Market alert
If you access the chart at a time when the market is closed, you will be able to see a notification at the bottom of the page specifying when the market will open. You can tap Notify me to set up an alert for it.
TradingView chart
The TradingView chart is an alternative type of chart available in Exness Trade that provides additional functionality such as:
- 100+ Indicators
- Drawing tools
- Color settings
Note: Some indicators (such as volume-related functionality) are not available.
To set your charts to TradingView, open your Profile tab then click on the gear icon to open your Settings. Select the Trading terminal option and set it to TradingView. TradingView will replace your chart type, as only one can be set at a time. TradingView will be visible on Stories.
