Account types applicable for this feature
Standard and extended swap-free types
There are 2 levels of swap-free status: standard swap-free and extended swap-free. We offer Extended Swap-free status by default to all applicable trading accounts created by clients in non-Islamic countries.
Note that swap will be charged for all other instruments where applicable. Head to our contract specifications page to determine which instruments are swap charged.
Standard swap-free
Under the standard swap-free program, clients will have no swap charged for holding positions open overnight for the following instruments:
- Cryptocurrencies*
- Stocks
*The following cryptocurrencies are not available in the standard swap free offering: BTCXAU, BTCXAG, BTCTHB, BTCAUD, BTCZAR, BTCCNH, BTCJPY and, BTCKRW.
Extended Swap-free
For clients under the Extended Swap-free program, swap-free instruments include instruments listed for Standard Swap-free along with additional symbols: AUDNZD, AUDUSD, EURCHF, EURUSD, GBPJPY, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, USDCAD, USDCHF, USDJPY, AUDCHF, AUDJPY, EURAUD, EURCAD, EURGBP, EURJPY, EURNZD, GBPCHF, GBPNZD, BTCXAU, BTCXAG, BTCTHB, BTCAUD, BTCCNH, BTCJPY, BTCZAR, BTCKRW, NZDJPY, NZDCAD, UKOIL, and XAUUSD.
Changing between swap-free levels
Your account swap status is determined by your trading activity.
If a trader with a standard swap-free trading account has had a trading activity that qualifies for extended swap-free, this will be done immediately and without opting from the client. Likewise, if an extended swap-free trading account’s activity drops, the trader’s area swap-free status will change to standard swap-free without opting.
Check your Personal Area (PA), under Settings >Trading conditions > Swap-free level for more information about your swap-free status. Note that this tab will only be visible for PAs registered in non-Islamic countries.
Points to remember

- Trading history is monitored for the following instruments only - AUDNZD, AUDUSD, EURCHF, EURUSD, GBPJPY, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, USDCAD, USDCHF, USDJPY, AUDCHF, AUDJPY, EURAUD, EURCAD, EURGBP, EURJPY, EURNZD, GBPCHF, GBPNZD, NZDJPY, NZDCAD.
