Each trading account is linked to one platform only — MetaTrader 4 (MT4) or MetaTrader 5 (MT5). The platform is selected when you create the account and cannot be changed later.

You can trade with:

• MT4-based accounts: MT4 desktop app, mobile app, WebTerminal, or MultiTerminal (for managing multiple accounts).
• MT5-based accounts: MT5 desktop app, mobile app, WebTerminal, Exness Trade app, or Exness Terminal.

You can always create new trading accounts to try other trading account types.

Managing default trading terminals

You can manage which trading terminals your trading account uses by default from your Personal Area (PA) when you are trading from your PC/laptop.

1. Log into your PA.
2. Under My Accounts area, find the trading account you wish to manage and click Trade.
3. A selection of available trading terminal will be displayed.

From here, you can choose a specific trading terminal, and toggle whether or not to make it this trading account’s default terminal. Other options are available for additional trading terminals compatible with your trading account, including the Exness Trade mobile app.

You can also head to Settings then Trading Terminals in your PA to set your default trading terminals for MT4 and MT5 accounts.
