At Exness, three main categories of forex currency pairs are available: majors, minors, and exotics.
- Majors are the seven most widely traded forex instruments. They involve the US Dollar (USD) paired with other major currencies like the Euro (EUR), Japanese Yen (JPY), and British Pound (GBP).
- Minors, also known as cross pairs, are forex pairs that do not include the USD but remain highly traded, such as EURGBP and AUDCAD. Note that specific pairs such as USDCNY, USDTHB, and USDHKD are exceptions and are still classified as minors.
- Exotics include one major currency and one less-traded or emerging market currency. They can also include two non-major currencies, known as exotic crosses.
The normal swap schedule may change on account of public/bank holidays for for USDJPY, EURUSD, GBPUSD, GBPJPY, AUDUSD, EURJPY, USDCAD, USDCHF instruments.
