If your trading history in your trading platform is missing orders, they may have been automatically archived.
Orders are archived after a certain period of time to reduce the load on the trading server.
Check the Account History tab in your trading platform and find any “archived orders” comment (this will also show up in your terminal log files). This may hide older trading activity, but you can locate it again in the Performance tab of your desktop Personal Area.
You can also open a ticket in support hub to request a report of your full trading history, but this can only be done for real trading accounts, not demo trading accounts.
Please note that archived orders can never be restored to the MT4 trading history. MT5 operational data is never archived, so it is always displayed in the History tab
Archived orders are not to be confused with archived accounts, which you can read more about in our article about archived accounts.
When do orders get archived?
MT4 automatically attempts to archive operational data older than 14 days, including the following:
- Trading Operations
- Deposits
- Withdrawals
Orders older than 14 days may be archived but this will not occur before then. They may be archived much later than 14 days however (for example, after 30 days). For Standard Cent accounts, orders older than 7 days may be archived.
