Verification documents include both proof of identity (POI) and proof of residence (POR) documents. Document verification can take up to 24 hours. If there’s no update after this time, please open a ticket in the support hub for assistance.
Some regions may require just one document to verify both POI and POR if it includes identification and residential information. To confirm, follow the process in your Personal Area (PA).
Document requirements
You choose your country and type of document when you upload your documents. Depending on your selection, examples of acceptable documents may be shown. Documents that do not meet set requirements may be rejected, delaying verification.
For proof of identity (POI)
The POI document must be issued by an official authority and certify the person holding its name, age, and photo. It does not have to be issued from the holder’s place of birth or country of citizenship. For example, a South African national residing permanently in Colombia can use a POI document issued in South Africa, Colombia, or any other country where we accept clients.
The POI document must meet these requirements:
- A photo of the client
- The client's full name must match the account holder's name.
- The client's date of birth (18 years or above).
- It must still be valid for six months from the date of upload.
- Both sides of the document if the document has more than 1 page.
- All four edges are visible.
- High-quality picture quality; not blurry and must be legible.
- Officially issued by the government.

It is important to note that we do not accept POI documents issued in specific countries where our services are restricted from both residents and nationals.
For proof of residence (POR)
The POR must be officially issued by a legitimate authority, certifying residence in the same country registered to the Exness account. This ensures a permanent residence status in the country chosen during account registration.
The POR document must display:
- The full name of the Exness account holder exactly matched the POI.
- The client's full name and address.
- The issue date.
- Date of issue (must have been issued within the past six months).
- All four edges are visible.
- Both sides of the document if the document has more than 1 page.
- High-quality picture quality; not blurry and must be legible.

Document rejection help
Action may be required to resolve the rejection of provided verification documents. If no action is necessary, as shown in the rejection reasons below, you simply need to reupload your verification documents as shown in the account verification steps.
How to check the reason for rejection:
An email is sent to the account registered address whenever a document is rejected. To view the reason for rejection, log into your PA and click Rejection reason.
