What happens?
If you face this error, the charts may fail to load, and the quotes may appear stagnant on your MetaTrader trading platform.
Why did this happen?
If you are seeing this error, it could mean the following:
- Wrong credentials
- Unstable Internet
- VPN Services
- Firewall and Antivirus Software
How to solve this error?
-
Wrong credentials
- Check if you have used the right credentials to log in to your trading platform, including the trading account number, trading password, and account server.
-
Unstable Internet
- Run a speed test on your internet connection.
- Check your internet cables or reset your modem/router by turning it off for at least 5 seconds before turning it on again.
- While the trading platform is still active, click the "No Connection" error to show a list of servers and the option to Log in. Click Rescan Servers to refresh the server list and check the ping.
-
VPN Services
- If you have a VPN service active while using the trading terminal, it can cause similar problems that an unstable internet connection can cause, such as slow response times and no connection issues if the VPN service experiences an outage. Try to disable it and restart the trading terminal to see if this corrects the error.
-
Firewall and Antivirus Software
If you use a firewall, it can conflict with your trading terminal by limiting or blocking internet traffic through the application. Add your trading terminal to the list of Firewall and Antivirus Software exceptions or disable your firewall or antivirus software altogether then log in again to see if it corrects the issue.
If the issue persists, open a ticket in the support hub for assistance.
