What happens?
The charts on your MetaTrader platforms may fail to load, and the quotes may appear stagnant.
Why did this happen?
This error indicates a connection issue (the connection could be slow or absent) between the trading terminal and account servers.
How to solve this error?
This error usually resolves itself in time. Wait a short while before trying to log in again. If the issue persists, here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:
- Close any charts that may appear stuck or display “Waiting for update” for a long time.
- Close and restart the entire trading terminal.
- Verify your router’s connection. To reset the connection, you can turn it off and switch it back on after 5 minutes.
- Try temporarily disabling your antivirus software to see if the error is corrected.
- If you have access to another PC, try logging in to your trading account and see if the problem occurs, too. If so, the issue is based on the connection.
- Double-check that your trading server is correct for your trading account.
- Click the connection bar at the bottom right of the trading terminal and click Rescan servers. This may refresh the connection and solve the problem.
- Reinstall the trading terminal and log in again.
Alternatively, an Exness VPS can help you maintain a consistent, stronger connection to your trading accounts through trading terminals.
