Passkeys, like passwords or SMS, are a form of authentication and verification. Unlike passwords or SMS, passkeys are securely stored on a device that can only be unlocked with biometrics or a PIN or authenticated by another device you own. The authentication process requires physical access to the user's device, adding an extra layer of protection against remote attacks.
Setting up your passkey
When performing any account action that requires an OTP confirmation, such as changing password, changing security type, or withdrawing funds from your Personal Area (PA) , you will be prompted to confirm your action with a passkey or text message.
- Select Create passkey, then hit Create passkey once more.
- Verify a passkey's creation with your face, pin, or other device.
- Once verified, a passkey will be saved on your device.
- A code will be sent to your registered mobile number to confirm the usage of passkeys for your withdrawals.
You can view and delete your passkeys from your Personal Area (PA) in your Settings under 2-step verification.
